Bay Union's Healthcare division specialises in the area of advising clients on their healthcare and funding requirements. Clients range from large multi-nationals to small businesses throughout South Africa.
Consistent with our philosophy that an educated and informed consumer is able to monitor and reduce healthcare costs, Bay Union Health aims to empower both employers and employees to achieve these objectives in the following ways:
- Reviewing schemes on an annual basis and thereby making recommendations regarding Plan and Benefit design.
- Advising members, on request by the Employer of the options available to them under the Group scheme;
- Informing the Employer regarding any updates in respect of legislative issues and industry developments.
- Implementing help desks on the premises of the Employer or an appropriately chosen venue.
- Conducting an annual review of claims for the key decision makers within the organisation in order that the appropriateness of the plan is ascertained. This will involve an in depth analysis of claims versus contributions.
In addition, Bay Union has an interest in a corporate wellness company,
Energi, which provides lifestyle and clinical risk management services to
both the corporate and healthcare sectors.
